Waiting to see if we make the space a call.
Getting ready to board.
(Notice our little poser :).
On the plane.
The landscape below.
Goodbye to Germany.
Sienna and Shen.
We didn't make it to London this time in Europe, but we flew over it on the way home!
It was fun to watch the camera and flight stats on the TV screens on the back of the seats (a great alternative to the videos they were playing! :).
We're almost home!
Dinner on the plane.
Back on U.S. soil again.
Talking to daddy...
...and waiting for the shuttle.
Poor Shen was so tired - she fell asleep on the way to pick up our van!
The shuttle driver was a former marine and a very nice gentleman. He helped us get our van started after sitting for so long.
It was good to see our flags again. It was funny how often we'd notice our flag after we got home. We'd be driving down the road and shout out as we spotted them. I guess after seeing foreign flags for 4 1/2 months, it's so good to see your own again that it really sticks out!
The next morning getting ready to hit the road.
It's pretty bad when your first three stops the day after getting back in the country are...
McDonald's,
Starbucks (this one's not so bad :),
and Wal-Mart!!!
We didn't realize that we had go arounds in the states too. I guess they're more common on the east coast.
We crossed the Shenandoah River.
We had to get a picture of Shenandoah by "her" park signs.
Hey, the signs are in English!!
Good old United States countryside.
It was funny to see this sign - we had just gone to Strasbourg in France a couple weeks before!
Sunset on the road.
(With spots inside my lens from the English Channel - sometime I'll get that fixed!!).
Germantown - next right.
A good storm that we drove through on our way.
In the car.
A little taste of Scotland on the road.
Listening to good old cowboy music soundtracks as we...
...entered Oklahoma!
