Cochran Family Chronicles

It's been a while since I've blogged so, here is a quick update...

Our family is doing well. Keeping busy with day to day life!!! We've been doing a lot of work around our property. Cleaning things up and getting ready for winter. We also had a new driveway put in a few days ago which is SO nice! We don't have to worry about getting stuck in our old sandy one anymore! :)

Preparations for winter are underway. We still have quite a bit of stuff to do to see to it that our animals are ready to go.

With each passing day, the time is drawing nearer when we will have another little baby around the house! We've been getting all of the baby stuff ready to go! Thank you to everyone who voted on our blog polls. It will be fun to see how everything turns out!!!

Below, I've posted a poem that our family really likes. As well as the latest in "Cochran Family Funnies." Enjoy!!!

Well, happy fall and happy trails!

Only One Life

Two little lines I heard one day,Traveling along life's busy way;
Bringing conviction to my heart, And from my mind would not depart;
Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.

Only one life, yes only one, Soon will its fleeting hours be done;
Then, in 'that day' my Lord to meet, And stand before His Judgement seat;
Only one life,'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.

Only one life, the still small voice, Gently pleads for a better choice
Bidding me selfish aims to leave, And to God's holy will to cleave;
Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.

Only one life, a few brief years, Each with its burdens, hopes, and fears;
Each with its clays I must fulfill, living for self or in His will;
Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.

When this bright world would tempt me sore, When Satan would a victory score;
When self would seek to have its way, Then help me Lord with joy to say;
Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.

Give me Father, a purpose deep, In joy or sorrow Thy word to keep;
Faithful and true what e'er the strife, Pleasing Thee in my daily life;
Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.

Oh let my love with fervor burn, And from the world now let me turn;
Living for Thee, and Thee alone, Bringing Thee pleasure on Thy throne;
Only one life, "twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.

Only one life, yes only one, Now let me say,"Thy will be done";
And when at last I'll hear the call, I know I'll say "twas worth it all";
Only one life,'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.

Cochran Family Funnies #3

The other day, Daddy, Sienna and Seth went to the store. While they were gone, I overheard this amusing conversation that Sayer was having between himself and Daddy on his play phone. The conversation was...

"Hi Daddy! How are you Sienna and Seth doing?"...

"Good"...

"Oh, and Daddy, do I have to obey Savannah?"...

"I don't have to obey Savannah?"...

"Okay! Let me put you on speaker phone"...

Note: If I'm having difficulty with a little sibling while Daddy and Mommy are gone, I put them on speaker phone to talk to whoever it is :)

Picking Apples

A couple of weeks ago, we went to our neighbors house down the street and picked apples. We picked about 88 pounds and it was so much fun!!! We also made/canned applesauce and apple butter for the first time. We were so excited!!!
