Sabrina's Homemade Bagels

4 cups Flour
1 T Honey
1&1/2 tsp Salt
1 T Oil
2 tsp. Instant Yeast
1&1/4-1&1/2 cups Warm Water

Mix all ingredients in a bowl. The dough should feel stiff, but add extra water if it is too stiff. Knead the dough on counter for about 10 min. Or until the dough is smooth. Cut dough into 8 equal balls, and let rest 10-20 min. Preheat oven to 425 F. Now take each of the dough balls and using 2 hands, roll into a "snake" on the counter. When the snake is longer than the width of your 2 hands, wrap it around your dominant rolling hand. The dough rope should be wrapped so that the overlapping ends are together at your palm, near the start of your fingers. Take the two overlapping ends, and use your palm to squish roll these two ends together. Let bagels rest on counter for 20 min. Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to boil, and grease a large baking tray lightly. Add the bagels to the boiling water without crowding them. Boil one min. turn and boil another min. Take them out and let dry for one min. then place on baking tray. Cook for 10 min. then flip them and cook 10 more minutes or until done. Enjoy!!

Note: The plain ones are delicious, but we've also added cinnamon (and raisins) if you want something a little different. I'm sure blueberries would be delicious too!!

3/4 cup sweetener - we used honey.
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/3 cup Oil
