A Gift and a Prayer Request

Last week, Shenandoah was very excited to receive a special package in the mail (the other ones were pretty happy too! :).  She couldn't wait to get home from the post office and open it!!  The package was from our dear cousin Becky and were some flannel dolls (like paper dolls, but better!) that she made herself.  Cousin Becky thought that the younger ones and Shenandoah especially might enjoy them while we're over here, traveling, etc and indeed they have been!!!

You may remember cousin Becky and her husband, Rod, from when they came to visit us last summer.  We had such a great time with them!!  Cousin Becky recently found out that she as a quite aggressive form of cancer called spindle cell carcinoma. Less than 1% of people who get cancer have this type.  She has it in her lungs, but also along her spine from her neck to her waist.  From what we've heard it is extremely painful.  We are thankful for their trust in the Lord and the love she shows us even in the midst of great discomfort.  What a blessing she has been to our family!!!  Please pray for cousin Becky for comfort from the pain, continued grace during this time and healing.
